Donations

For all the members of the KCFP&D, this is an expensive hobby; we put a lot of our time and money into the band.  Now don't get me wrong, we're not complaining, because this is also a very rewarding experience.  Just know that the band could not continue without the support from the community.

When we started, we received support from some of our locals and benevolent associations, but since then the band is pretty much run on donations.  A portion of the money that we receive is used for uniforms, hiring instructors and similar band expenses.  But more importantly, we use the donations to help us to honor our fallen brothers and sisters in the fire and police communities.  One such event, which is held every September in Colorado Springs, CO, is the IAFF's Fallen Firefighter Memorial.  This ceremony honors firefighters from the U.S. and Canada, who made the ultimate sacrifice and died in the line of duty.  It is an expensive trip, but an extremely moving ceremony and thanks to the support that we receive, we have been able to send KCFP&D members every year since 2011.

As thank you gifts for donations, we have some awesome swag that you can pick up at the events we play.  You can donate directly to the band and get that warm, fuzzy feeling inside, knowing that you are helping a good cause.  We really appreciate all the support that we receive from the community and truly could not continue to perform without it.  So thank you very much for helping us do what we love to do!
